Swedish Missionary in Mongolia.
Born in Kisa, Ostergotland, Sweden, Boberg prepared for mission work at the Swedish Alliance Mission Bible Institute in Jonkoping (1919-1920) and at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois (1920-1922). From 1922 until 1951, he served as a missionary of the Swedish Pentecostal churches to Inner Mongolia (in present-day China). While there, he engaged in evangelism and lexicographical work. The fruit of his labors appeared in the highly acclaimed Mongolian-English Dictionary, 3 vols. (1954). Several Swedish foundations (e.g., The Lang-mans Cultural Fund) underwrote his publications.
